The Wharves + Slum Of Legs + Two White Cranes

Dictionary Pudding are delighted to host a wonderful bacchanalia of pop fun:

The Wharves

Hailing from Ireland, France and England THE WHARVES sport startling duel vocals, courtesy of Gemma Fleet (bass) and Dearbhla Minogue (guitar), which hang gracefully over their minimal rock format. They invoke the reverberated spook of 60's girl groups, the mid-fi guitar crunch of Kim Deal's The Amps, the vocal flavours of The Roches and the narrative and structural panache of 70's progressive folk. Marion Andrau's thunderous drumming drives through these compositions, ensuring the wealth of disparate influences remain focused and celebratory. In 2013 they released a split LP with The Rosy Crucifixion on Glasgow's Soft Power Recordings and release a full length LP in 2014 with Nottingham's Gringo Records.

Two White Cranes
Roxy Brennan has been writing and singing songs for 10 years in her home town of Bristol and has recently upped sticks to live in Brighton. As Two White Cranes she performs intimate folk with loud bits and quiet bits both solo and with friends. Her songs seem to all be about loving someone or something. Two White Cranes refers to the two white construction cranes she walks beneath every morning and evening on my way to and from work. She also currently plays in Joanna Gruesome.
