Triptych is a new event brought to you by Love Thy Neighbour on 26-28th January at The Hope & Ruin, Brighton. Triptych consists of three nights each featuring three of our favourite Brighton-based bands and each accompanied by a lathe-cut vinyl release, one for each night, limited to a mere 11 copies each or 33 across all three releases. Triptych is proudly part of Independent Venue Week at The Hope & Ruin.
GAPS - Their singular vision for what music can and should be begins with Rachel’s soulful, folk-tinged vocal and guitar which find a perfect resolution in the immaculately placed loops, repetitions and samples that recall Steve Reich as much as Four Tet and Jon Hopkins. http://gapsmusic.tumblr.com/
DOG IN THE SNOW - Inspired by Sufjan Stevens, The National and Sigur Ros, seen supporting Real Estate, D.D Dumbo and Chrysta Bell, the band experiments with existential-driven lyrics and layers of off-kilter sounds to create a peripatetic musical landscape. “Beautiful, ethereal, and at times fragile.” - Gold Flake Paint http://doginthesnow.tumblr.com/
KUB makes other worldly, dreamy electronic textures. Her music touches on themes of temptation, venomous relationships, and the cruel wonders of the world. KUB will be known to many Brightonians as an ex-member of Us Baby Bear Bones. https://www.facebook.com/KUB-570179303146536
Tickets are available from Resident Music and Seetickets, priced at £4 per night. Very limited Weekend tickets will be also available at Resident Music, priced at £8 each.
