Triptych 3 x Nanocluster: Immersion + Eva Bowan + Merlin Tonto

Triptych is a new event brought to you by Love Thy Neighbour on 26-28th January at The Hope & Ruin, Brighton. Triptych consists of three nights each featuring three of our favourite Brighton-based bands and each accompanied by a lathe-cut vinyl release, one for each night, limited to a mere 11 copies each or 33 across all three releases. Triptych is proudly part of Independent Venue Week at The Hope & Ruin.

Triptych 3 ~ 28th January

IMMERSION - Immersion is an electronic music project of Malka Spigel & Colin Newman. 'The pulsing and sliding analogue synths are still present but the most noticeable differences are the introduction of guitars into the mix and an increased sense of urgency to the compositions. Although it does have its contemplative moments, the majority of the album is powered by a strong sense of motion. For fans of the german masters, and their contemporaries like xam duo, steve hauschildt and survive.' Resident Music http://www.swimhq.com/

EVA BOWAN - Eva Bowan is a Polish born UK based multidisciplinary artist working in the fields of music, graphic design, photography, video and illustration. Her interest lies in combining organic sounds with electronic rhythms, balancing somewhere in between ambient, electronica and experimental pop. ‘Alien, absorbing and gorgeous” - Clash http://soundcloud.com/evabowan

MERLIN TONTO - Formed in 2013, Merlin Tonto (Owen Thomas (electronics), Miles Boyd (bass) and Steffan Eliades (drums) combine a patient, ever building, subliminal connection in the rhythm section with Owen's virtuoso manipulation of electronics and visual interpretations of the band's otherwordly sounds. Recalling at various times Factory Floor, ESG and Leftfield. It's all done in their idiosyncratic way, the music is never in a hurry to get anywhere, their restraint meaning the joy is as much in the journey as the destination. https://www.facebook.com/MerlinTonto

Tickets are available from Resident Music and Seetickets, priced at £4 per night. Very limited Weekend tickets will be also available at Resident Music, priced at £8 each.
