Brighton Noise Presents:
Having last year blossomed into the world with a debut collection of tracks, self-descriptively entitled Study / Dance, Australian alt.pop artist and ex-Kins frontman Thomas Savage, AKA Vilde, returns with the stylish, sophisticated and invigorating album, Thud . Taking his trademark penchant for imbuing intelligent art-rock with pop-sensibilities, Thud is perhaps his most comprehensive release to date.
Formed in 2013, Merlin Tonto (Owen Thomas (electronics), Miles Boyd (bass) and Steffan Eliades (drums) combine a patient, ever building, subliminal connection in the rhythm section with Owen's virtuoso manipulation of electronics and visual interpretations of the band's otherwordly sounds. Recalling at various times Factory Floor, ESG and Leftfield. It's all done in their idiosyncratic way, the music is never in a hurry to get anywhere, their restraint meaning the joy is as much in the journey as the destination.
Their second EP - Baotou, released on Brighton's Love Thy Neighbour label, continues this journey with the acid sounds of ‘Forest Primeval’ to the ambient washes of the stunning ‘Shimmering Mist’.
Cardinal Fang has recently released it's album "Psycho Babel" on Spotify alongside previous album "Absolutely Flamingo"
