Bruising + Garden Centre + Porridge Radio + Leatherhead

Royal Limp presents ...

Sunday 4th December, 8pm, £5 entry. The Hope & Ruin.

Bruising (
Bruising are a Leeds based indie-rock/pop-punk band who juxtapose sugar-sweet lilting melodies with 90's alt-rock workouts to storming effect. Touring in support of their new single 'I Don't Mind' their sound brings to mind the pop nous of The Breeders and the emotional melodic punk of bands like Radiator Hospital, Swearin', Personal Best and others. Bangers.

Garden Centre (
Garden Centre is the current project of King Of Cat's/Lower Slaughter/The Snivellers' Max Levy. For this performance he will not be performing with the full Garden Centre band but a stripped down arrangement promises to reveal the inventive and unique material showcased on brand new LP 'Monster Energy' to tremendous effect. Always exceptional and peerless, I am happy to have Garden Centre playing this show.

Porridge Radio (
Porridge Radio get better every day, maybe every minute, and they were already really damn good. Beautiful songs, furious songs, both at the same time and all that lies between, Dana's confessional and sonically varied project has developed into a super tight rock & roll outfit. It was never meant to be a rock band but now you can hear everything from The Au Pairs to Florist. Weird great pop songs.

Leatherhead (
Leatherhead is still relatively new but the live set-up offers up heartfelt melodies buried beneath raging guitars, saxophone weaving in and out, reminiscent of lots of great people who have written odd and sad songs before. Members of The Glugg, The Space Cowboys, The Snivellers, Spill and others are involved.
