+ SAFE TO SWIM
London indie electro trio Strong Asian Mothers create a colourful blend of hip-hop, electronic music, and pop befitting their love of music and individual diverse backgrounds as artists (they count directing, acting, producing, and magic among their many pursuits).
Their debut 'Lynx Africa EP' released in May 2106, was received with wide critical acclaim and immediately gathered support from Radio 1 with DJs Huw Stephens playing all releases to date and Annie Mac naming them as a 'New Name for 2016'. They followed this with their 2017 release 'The Animal EP'. With the Lead track being championed by Beats1 Radio anchor Julie Adenuga. They've had previous tracks premiered on both Radio 1 and online by The Line Of Best Fit, Pigeons and Planes and Stereogum and with "exhilarating" and "energetic" appearances at Glastonbury, Bestival, Latitude, Secret Garden Party, The Great Escape, Reading & Leeds as well as many others, Strong Asian Mothers have landed real statement of intent.
Their cover of 'Don't Let Go' by En Vogue has been described as "explosive electro-pop track that still retains a deep soulfulness to it" and was featured on Love Island and latest single Don't Know Why is currently upsetting the inner ear balance of music fans across England.
