Crocodiles (Band)
"Welcome to the art-punk renaissance", said music magazine Rolling Stone somewhere in 2009. The reason for this was the debut of Crocodiles (Band), a duo from the sultry West Coast city of San Diego. Brandon Welchez and Charles Rowell then dropped a musical gem with 'Summer Of Hate' on trembling kraut, icy shoegaze and fat disco punk. Ten years and a pack of releases later, the two DIY rockers are still very alive and kicking and keep their cult status rock solid.

In the meantime, album number seven is already in the pipeline with 'Love Is Here' (The End Is Near): ten clenched songs, according to the band itself nothing less than lightning bolts in a thunderstorm. Even today their idiosyncratic sound could be the love baby of The Fall and The Jesus and Mary Chain, though snatches of Sonic Youth and Guided By Voices lurk as well. Add members of A Place To Bury Strangers, Cat Power and Dum Dum Girls to the ranks, and it goes without saying that Crocodiles invariably intrigues both live and on record.

Youth Sector ~
"With its kaleidoscopic synths and dominating bass guitars, “Run” sees Youth Sector bringing a revamped and refreshing sound along with them" - The Line Of Best Fit
“The lyrics almost read like a compilation of overheard conversations, reflecting how issues like religion, climate change and immigration have become simplified, sloganeering arguments between left and right. The song’s lyrics more than anything attempt to highlight the lack of any real content in debate in the media age, and the isolation caused by division.”
