Plus entry to The Hope’s Halloween Prom Night afterparty
BA Johnston plays Brighton at The Hope & Ruin on Saturday 28th October. It’s free entry but if you want to help support BA and guarantee entry there are a limited amount of tickets above or here– all money goes to BA Johnston.
B.A. Johnston’s live shows are legendary in his native Canada (read: shirtless and writhing on beer-soaked floors). He was introduced to us by Mathias Kom from The Burning Hell who described his shows as “a caravan of chaos and insanity”. We’re very glad we responded to that email. You will get covered in beer, you will party more than you planned to, you will be telling people about this show for months afterwards.
B.A. Johnston has been playing “music” throughout Canada since the dawn of time. He is best known for being the human inspiration for The Littlest Hobo and once ate three Baconators on a bet. He can be found at some crappy bar near you playing for a nominal cover charge, which people pay even though “they only want to come in and have some wings.”
His “songs” focus on subjects such as cheap beer, drinking beer in a car, and drinking so much beer that you are worried you will fall out of a canoe and drown. In an effort to branch out and tackle the serious issues of today, there is also a song about being high at work in a Foodland. His albums are often named by B.A.’s desire to be sued by someone famous. http://www.bajohnston.ca
