Beat Hotel EP Launch in aid of Grassroots Suicide Prevention
29th January 2020 - 7:30 pm
The Hope & Ruin

6-track mini-album launch in association with Grassroots Suicide Prevention.

Tickets £5.50 adv from the link above. Includes FREE DOWNLOAD of the album and all proceeds go to Grassroots.

Occultation Recordings (home of The Wild Swans, Factory Star, Revolutionary Army of the Infant Jesus and The Distractions), presents 6 songs on 12” by Beat Hotel, featuring current and former members of The June Brides, The Loft, The Weather Prophets, Distractions, Mudlow, Mojo Fins and Lolita Storm. On this long-awaited (self-titled) mini album, you can expect a melodic, psychedelic wall of sound, a touch of garage rock & roll and balanced with more laidback, strings-laden atmospheric vibes.

Recommended if you dig The Velvet Underground, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Jesus and Mary Chain, classic-era Creation Records, Nuggets/‘60s garage & psych and The Byrds.

Support comes from Dead Skin Sessions, “an alt rock duo from Brighton. Their low fi post punk infuses sonic grit and jagged distortion to ignite their signature sound of upbeat raw emotion and fierce vulnerability.”

“Dead Skin Sessions’ second EP Health and Safety forges drone rock, indie and garage punk to reflect the zeitgeist of a perturbed society; it is the damaged soundscape of political uncertainty, of mental health fatigue and the demagoguery that threatens a challenged civilization.”

All proceeds will go to Grassroots Suicide Prevention
