CHEWY SHE

CHEWY SHE is an ethereal electro-disco-punk band based in London.

Musically, CHEWY SHE mix the spontaneity of punk with fat electro bass, delivered with the groove and glamour of disco. It’s a sound which could only be dreamed up in the eccentric mind of bandleader Garance Louis, who has collaborated in studios with Andy Ramsay (Stereolab), Eddie Stevens (Roisin Murphy) and Capitol K.

The record is an expression of freedom , sex positivity , spirituality and a dash of feminism. CHEWY speaks out loud for all the women and men of today who follow their own desires, disregard the patriarchy and find their own ecstasy.

This spirit is best expressed at their live shows, which feature exuberant costume, supreme musicianship, and an initiation of all present into the darkly ironical, theatrical and immersive universe of Chewy She.
