Meeting at a Freshers week event at uni in Manchester in 2017, Amber and Arthur discussed starting a band through a mutual love of DIIV, My Bloody Valentine and Sonic Youth. crush encapsulate those influences plus many more including Phoebe Bridgers and The Cocteau Twins, to create heavy yet atmospheric soundscapes.
