Georgie Moon

Everyday Saints

Begun by Pip Rainburd (guitar/co-vocals) as a solo bedroom project in 2021 – a creative outlet during a summer spent doing twelve hour shifts at the ‘Palace of Fun’ arcade on Brighton beach. Fully formed as a band in 2023 alongside Gary Holder (bass), James Moore (drums), and Jade Middleton (synth/co-vocals). Wedding dresses, dance bass, a gurning drummer, ‘Lost Boys’ synths, and two women ignoring both their instruments and you in order to sing lovingly to each other.

Friend of Franky

Friend of Franky is an ambient alt-rock band based in Brighton. The five piece have been making progressive moves to clair their place in Brighton’s eclectic music scene; fusin expressive lyrical cascades with dynamic instrumental melodies to divulge their alt-pop/rock roots. The band are excited to explore themes of queerness, mental health, heartbreak and gender identity, as Friend of Franky envelopes new genres.

Some words from DeafKidz

The abuse and exploitation of deaf children and young people is endemic, with deaf children three times more likely to be abused than hearing children. DeafKidz International works to respond to this outrage, working in low resource and complex settings to enable deaf children to live safely and without fear of physical, sexual, emotional abuse and neglect. Working with a range a stakeholders and partners, we enable deaf children to reduce their risk and susceptibility to harm.

We would be delighted if you came to support our work at the Hope & Ruin. Our huge thanks to all the artists who have given freely of their time and energy to put on what is an incredible gig. Together, we really can ensure no deaf child is left behind.
