MOOF Magazine presents a night of Honkin’ and Tonkin’ with London’s finest alt-country acts;

HENRY WEBB-JENKINS

One of the most exciting rising voices in alternative country music, Henry Webb-Jenkins is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (pedal steel, banjo, guitar) hailing from North London. Drawing influence from the cosmic Americana of Gram Parsons and the Flying Burrito Brothers to the good old rock ‘n’ roll of the Rolling Stones, Henry and his band blend heartfelt lyricism with lush instrumentation and rich Americana-tinged textures, paying homage to the country genre without being confined by it.

Henry’s new EP, HANK, is out this summer.

BIRDS FLYING BACKWARDS

Birds Flying Backwards are a London-based six-piece formed by friends and family of principal songwriter JR Sanders. Their sound is eclectic, shifting from alt-folk to droning psychedelia and left-field spiritual jazz. Following the release of Surrender to The Void, 2025 saw them exploring a more folk-oriented direction, all while further solidifying their reputation as the ‘purveyors of nostalgic, yet timeless rock reverie’ (Atwood Magazine).
