The Hope & Ruin

POSTPONED: This show is being postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. More news on a new date very soon.

Iddy Biddy Promotions presents ISLA live at The Hope & Ruin! Supports from GLOO and hops.

We are ISLA
ISLA are an alternative rock band from the vibrant city of Brighton, UK. The band individually have a wide range of influences, but collectively take inspiration from the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood and Demob Happy. ISLA blend elements of conventional rock and guitar riffs to create atmospheric and emotional ambience and are ones to watch out for in 2020.

A product of their fading seaside resort hometown, Littlehampton, GLOO create high octane and abrasive sounds, pulsing with infectious melodies. GLOO adhere to provide a sense of relief from modern life’s struggles – the fantasy of quitting a dead-end and mundane nine-to-five job, the aspiration to escape small-town life and see the world.

Gloo’s full-throttled live shows have landed their support to SICKJOY, Press Club, Demob Happy and Richie Ramone, alongside a slot at 2000 Trees and BBC Amplify. Their music, vivacity and spirited live shows speak for themselves and Gloo has their eyes firmly set on breaking out of the norm they were born into.

Sketchy garage alt-rock based around a love of dizzying mood swings and beer – full of flavour.

For those who enjoy all of life’s rich cultural stew, but find themselves listening to the same loud, noisy guitar bands they’ve always loved.
