WINDOWHEAD 

Windowhead is a Post-Hardcore band from Brighton, UK. The group incorporates elements of Post-Metal and Shoegaze to build crushing soundscapes pierced by ethereal guitars and complex rhythms. They have been compared to bands such as Thrice, Deftones, Radiohead and At The Drive-In.

Starting life as a bedroom-recorded solo project, Windowhead released its debut album, Still Life, in 2018. The project transformed into a full band shortly afterwards, and released their second album, Sunflowers, in 2021. Windowhead’s latest EP, Terrestrials, marks a further evolution in the band’s music. Soaring hooks and melancholy atmospherics transform unexpectedly into furious riffs and anguished screams, creating a thoughtful but thrilling soundtrack for songs tackling subjects such as gun violence, environmental collapse and social isolation.

Remember the time where you were sprawled on the couch, the flicker of MTV lighting up the room? The haunting beauty of The Smashing Pumpkins’ Adore is playing in the background followed by PJ Harvey’s Is This Desire? with its raw, unfiltered energy. Grunge is evolving and alternative rock is becoming more experimental, more introspective, yet still deeply intense. The 90’s may have come to an end but the spirit is still burning in 2025. A new quartet from Brighton emerges, a band forged from the melancholy, chaos and bold creativity of that era. 30 years later, that fearless, raw sound, is back redefined and revived through CARNE.
