RKM + H&R Presents:
RAI KAH MERCURY
Emerging from a disruptive but generative period, RKM have an eclectic body of work that interweaves genres including indie, psychedelic, and blues rock, in addition to singer-songwriter inflections. Born in a rehearsal studio in semi-rural Derbyshire during 2017, the band cut their teeth in the vibrant Birmingham music scene, gaining early notoriety with their debut single ‘Terror Incognita’.
The four-piece rock outfit is fronted by Tomás Pádraig Crean on vocals and guitar, Nathan De Giorgi on Keyboard and Synthesiser, Reece Aston Schaefer on Bass, and Joshua Anthony Lowe on drums.
Rai Kah Mercury recorded their first extended studio piece in September 2021, after bunkering down on the remote Isle of Lewis in Scotland in an attempt to capture the spirit of coming of age as a band in an illustrative natural environment. What followed is a body of work that interpolates themes of love, loss, and questions of meaning, that fiercely deviates from the genre-specific English music scene of today – and is set to be released in Autumn 2022.
“Make Believe” is the first part of this story, as a bouncing introduction to the guitar and piano driven character of a matured Rai Kah Mercury, which will be followed by a stream of exciting live show announcements, and further releases.
