YIN YIN

In ancient Chinese philosophy, YIN YANG (/jɪn/ and /jɑːŋ, jæŋ/; Chinese: 陰 陽 yīnyáng, lit. ‘dark-bright’, ‘negative-positive’) refers to a concept of dualism, describing how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be in balance, complementary, and interdependent in the natural world. The Maastricht-based band known as Yīn Yīn, however, embraces misbalance and its contemplative freedom in order to push the boundaries of its creative musicality.
